All English 1010 students are required to complete the
tutorial. In addition, any student or other library user may feel free
to use the tutorial and learn about the library's electronic
resources.
- What you will find in the tutorial:
This tutorial will help you to find and critically evaluate
information that will be helpful for your academic and personal
information needs. The tutorial is presented in this format to give you
experience and instruction for choosing appropriate resources. In
addition, there will be specific instructions on finding and using
electronic resources. There are sections with frequently asked
questions about the library, instructions for using the on-line catalog
to find books, and directions for using Academic OneFile,
an on-line periodical database. We hope you will learn to use these
resources and find them useful.
- How to navigate the tutorial:
Please read the information carefully and follow the
directions. After finishing most pages you will proceed to the
next page or go back to the previous page by clicking on the
appropriate arrow at the bottom of each page. Occasionally the
instructions will direct you to type in some information or mouse click
on a certain word or words. At the end of the tutorial and its
accompanying quiz, you may exit to the Library Services Home Page.
