Access Science - electronic version of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology.  Includes science news and related websites concerning life and physical sciences, as well as information on engineering, mathematics, and technology

Oxford Reference Online - provides searchable access to 100 dictionary and reference titles pubished by Oxford Press including The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Mathematics.

Journals and Magazines

Mathematics Dictionary. 5th edition. (all campuses) Robert C. James, ed. New York: Van Nostrand Reinhold, 1992. REF QA  5 .J33 1992 This dictionary presents mathematical terms and concepts for students, scientists, engineers, and others interested in the field of mathematics.

McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Mathematics. 2nd ed. New York: McGraw-Hill, 2003. REF QA 5 M 425 2003. This dictionary contains more than 5000 terms used in mathematics and statistics. It also includes an appendix with conversion tables, mathematical notation, and useful tables of mathematical data.

Notable Mathematicians. Robyn V. Young, ed. Gale, 1998. REF QA 28 .N66 1998 Provides a comprehensive source of biographical information on 303 mathematicians. Each entry provides a biographical essay, a list of selected writings, and a bibliography of further sources. An appendix also contains a timeline of important events in mathematics history and a list of major mathematics awards and prizes.
