Pellissippi State breaks ground on Blount County Campus

blountAt least 1,300 students at Pellissippi State will benefit from the move out of the former Bungalow Elementary School in Alcoa, current home to the Blount County Center, to the new $22 million Blount County Campus on W. Lamar Alexander Parkway two years from now. (more)

Variations choral group’s tour of Poland

Rose-y occasion brings Pellissippi State’s online Web Technology grads face to face

Back in the day, before there was such a thing as the Internet, traditional college classes were taught by an instructor who stood before students in a low-tech classroom and delivered a lecture. If it was a normal-size class—say, 30 students—most knew their classmates by face if not by name. (more)

Energizer Bunny on board for annual balloon festival

bunnyThe Energizer Bunny and the Hot Hare Balloon Team are scheduled to touch down at the Fifth Annual Pellissippi State Hot Air Balloon Festival.

The balloon festival, Pellissippi State’s largest fundraising event, is Friday, September 26, and Saturday, September 27, 4-10 p.m. (more)
