Queener named to board for human resources professional organization
Karen Queener, director of Human Resources and Affirmative Action at Pellissippi State, has been appointed to the Southern Region’s College and University Professional Association for Human Resources board of directors. She began her two-year appointment July 1. (more)
Two glows are better than one
The 2008 Pellissippi State Hot Air Balloon Festival September 26-27 is guaranteed to be twice as good as last year’s, partly because balloon glows are scheduled for both Friday and Saturday instead of just one evening as in years past. (more)

New Web page debuts
Exciting changes are under way. On Thursday, July 31, Pellissippi State’s Web page debuted with a completely new look. People are finding that it’s more streamlined, easier to navigate—both for current users and for new visitors—and more audience driven. It also supports the College’s marketing efforts by integrating the “getconnected” theme and testimonials. (more)
