Professional troupe ‘clowns around’ at balloon fest
For 15 years, Debbie Debuty and her alter ego, Daisy the Clown, have been entertaining children of all ages. On September 26-27, Debuty and her troupe—clowns with names like Bubbles, Chumumba and Speedy—will continue that tradition at the balloon festival.
“The balloon festival is definitely a family event, so we look forward to mingling with the crowd and creating balloon sculptures for the kids,” said Debuty.
Debuty has a special talent for devising custom-made balloon pumps used by many clowns and characters. For example, “Princess Elisha” carries a special frog-shaped pump that blows up her balloons.
“She is hoping he turns into a prince,” Debuty said.
