Non-credit Herbal Medicine begins January 29
“Herbal Medicine: The Science and Practice of Herbal Medicine I and II” will provide valuable information for people who are looking for a natural approach to good health.
Business and Community Services is offering the two non-credit classes at the Blount County Center.
Part I meets 6-9 p.m. Thursdays, January 29-February 19. The class will provide valuable information about how herbs work and how they can be prepared safely for different body systems. The course also will cover combining herbs safely, as well as an overview of drug-herb interactions.
Part II meets 6-9 p.m. Thursdays, February 26-March 26 (no class on March 12). The second course will delve deeper into how herbs work and how they can be used.
Susan Jane Fidler, a registered herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild, is the instructor for both courses, each of which costs $65. For information on the required textbook or to register for either class, call Business and Community Services at 539-7167.
