Highest spring enrollment ever

The economy may be in turmoil, but enrollment at Pellissippi State has never been better. In recently released figures, the College reports that student numbers for spring semester are 8,417-an increase of 2.77 percent over last year. (more)

Alumni needed for reunion choir

Former Pellissippi State choral students are invited to be part of a reunion choir that will perform at the College’s Spring Choral Concert on April 30 at 7 p.m. (more)

Support staff host event to raise dollars for scholarships

Pellissippi State’s Support Staff Council will host a sale on Thursday, April 30, and Friday, May 1, to raise money for its Support Staff Dollars for Scholars program. (more)

En garde! New fencing club open to students, faculty and staff

Every Wednesday, club members practice, weapons flickering in the light of the Student Recreation Center. Mark Cotter is teaching participants how and where to hit and how to win a match. (more)

Kingdom Kare receives TSBDC Rising Star Award

Kingdom Kare Child Development Center, has just earned the 2009 Rising Star Award from the Tennessee Small Business Development Center. The Knoxville TSBDC office is administered by Pellissippi State. (more)

Major responsibilities: I teach music theory, music appreciation and private guitar lessons, and I lead the guitar ensemble as well as the bluegrass ensemble.
