Major responsibilities: I teach music theory, music appreciation and private guitar lessons, and I lead the guitar ensemble as well as the bluegrass ensemble.
Length of service at the College: 11 years as an adjunct, full time since fall 2008.
Place of birth: Merida, Venezuela.
Family members: Elma Vielma (mother), who lives in Venezuela; Lawrence Vincent (father), who lives in New Mexico; Deborah Vincent (sister) and Javier Abad and their two kids, Sebastian and Uma, who currently live in New Mexico.

Something no one knows about you: I enjoy disco music.
Greatest achievement or proudest moment: Recording my first CD.
Favorite things outside work: Playing guitar.
Most rewarding part of your job: Making music with our students.
Most influential person in your life and why: My grandmother, Jenny Vincent, a consummate musician who introduced me to music at an early age.
