Pellissippi State honors outstanding students March 30

With graduation little more than a month away, many Pellissippi State students are preparing for final exams, reserving caps and gowns, and polishing resumes. Some, though they may not yet realize it, are also about to be lauded for their academic achievement.

Outstanding students here will be honored at the 2009 Academic Awards Ceremony, slated for March 30. The event recognizes the hard work and accomplishments of students in a wide variety of fields of study.

Pellissippi State offers degree paths for college transfer and in the career/technical fields. Honorees can range from a student in French Language and World Business to one who plans a career in plastics engineering technology.

The ceremony will be staged in the Clayton Performing Arts Center. The awards ceremony begins at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a reception. For additional information, contact Bonnie Powell, executive assistant, Student Success and Enrollment Management, at 539-7188 or blpowell@pstcc.edu.
