Job fair scheduled April 21 to fill part-time faculty positions

Are you interested in teaching at the college level? Do you have a master’s degree with 18 subject-specific credit hours?

Pellissippi State is hosting an Adjunct Faculty Job Fair on Tuesday, April 21, to recruit part-time faculty for fall semester. The fair is 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Goins Building.

Faculty are needed for more than 30 content areas, ranging from art and history to management and sociology. While most positions require a master’s degree with 18 hours in the teaching area, some in the engineering and media technologies programs accept a bachelor’s degree and three years’ professional experience in lieu of academic credentials.

All applicants are asked to bring a resume and college transcript to the event.

Staff will be available to answer questions and demonstrate the process for applying online, says Karen Queener, director of Human Resources and Affirmative Action. Deans and faculty representing the academic departments also will be present.

For additional information about the application process, contact Human Resources, 694-6607.
