These three words may find well-known British atheist Richard Dawkins and Pellissippi State English professor Edward Francisco, who is Catholic, locking horns … not over God, exactly, but over semiotics, a branch of language study that Francisco believes opens the door to possibilities not readily explained by a simple stimulus-response theory.

If you haven’t yet signed up for the free emergency alert text messaging service, now is a good time to do so. Originally designed to notify students, faculty and staff of on-campus emergencies, unscheduled closings and weather-related class delays and cancellations, the optional service now makes general announcements available, too. New forensic anthropology course offered in fall
The course, Introduction to Forensic Anthropology, begins fall semester and will focus on osteology, the study of bones. Students will learn to create a biological profile of skeletal remains, as well as discover the basics of identifying trauma. (more)
