Name: Dean Copple

Title: Director, Application Programming Support

Major responsibilities: Managing and directing a team of systems analysts responsible for the administration, interpretation and support of administrative computing systems.

Length of service at the College: 2 years

Place of birth: Ann Arbor, Michigan

Family members: Wife, Rosy; son, Jim; daughter-in-law, Cara; daughters, Molly and Meg (identical twins)

Something no one knows about you: When I played YMCA football in the third grade, my jersey number was 112.

Greatest achievement or proudest moment: Seeing all three of my children graduate from college.

Favorite things outside work: Reading, gardening, playing bridge and cribbage, camping with the Boy Scouts in Troop 25.

Most rewarding part of your job: Hearing from users how changes and enhancements made by APS staff make their jobs more efficient and easier.

Most influential person in your life and why: My wife, Rosy. She has a tremendous amount of common sense, she makes a difference in children’s lives every day through her career as an elementary guidance counselor, she is funny and fun to be around, she takes good care of me and all the members of my household, and she puts up with me!
