Facilities & Equipment
Photography
Photography students work in a professionally equipped studio with
the latest in digital imaging and lighting equipment. Computer labs
feature Macintosh G-5 dual processor computers with large flat panel
monitors and wide-format, photo quality printers capable of producing
archival prints. Students use these professional-grade facilities
during both classroom instruction and the completion of real-world
assignments.
Although students are required to supply their own
equipment, a number of digital cameras are available for student use in
the studio and on location as well as a wide selection of lenses,
meters, and portable lighting equipment. The latest industry-standard
software tools are also available for student use in ours labs,
including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, Camera Raw, and camera
control software by Nikon and Canon.

Video Production Technology
Professional HD television production studio facilities feature
digital studio HD cameras, a Grass Valley broadcast quality switcher,
Avid Decko character generator and studio lighting. Audio support
includes digital recording and processing equipment.
Field
production is supported with over 20 professional HD digital camcorders.
Field audio recording is supported with portable hard drives,
professional microphones (including radio frequency mics), boom mics and
audio mixing equipment. A full complement of grip equipment is
available as well, including portable lighting, C-stands, reflectors,
diffusers, flags, goboes, etc. Students in good standing who have
received training on specific equipment (and are working on class
assignments) have the privilege of checking out any portable equipment
for 2 working day periods at a time and/or using fixed equipment and
facilities (studio, editors, etc.) when not in use by classes.
Web Technology
Students learn in a state-of-the-art facility, the Bagwell Center for Media and Art. The latest industry-standard software tools are available for student use in our labs.
