BOOKSTORE

The Campus Bookstore is located on the first floor of the Goins Administrative building.  The primary purpose of the Campus Bookstore is to serve the students, faculty, and staff of the College by making available the books and supplies required for course work.  In addition, the bookstore maintains wide selections of general books and college supplies, which contribute to the overall educational experience offered by Pellissippi State.

The bookstore stocks textbooks in quantities to meet only the anticipated needs of students expected to enroll.  Some publishers are willing to mail desk copies directly to an instructor teaching the course upon receiving a written request from him or her.  Publishers do not issue desk copies through the bookstore.  Do not ask the bookstore to lend copies stocked for students.

To provide a supply of textbooks for each semester, the following textbook deadlines must be followed.  These are the dates by which the requests must be received by the bookstore in order to provide sufficient lead time for ordering, shipping, receiving, pricing, and stocking on shelves before registration day.

1         Fall Semester - Preceding April 15

2         Spring Semester - October 15 of Preceding Calendar Year

3         Summer Semester - Preceding April 1

The instructor's textbook request will be prepared by the above dates. All requested information must be provided.  The request should be forwarded through the department head for approval.  The textbook manager will process the request.

The budgetary official or designee may obtain supplies for departmental use at the bookstore.  Any request for supplies must be accompanied by a Pellissippi State "Bookstore Invoice" form.  The amount of the purchase will be billed on a monthly basis.

The Copy Center is located in the lobby of the McWherter Building.  The Copy Center provides fast, economical, and automated copy service.  The Copy Center can reproduce from 10 to 500 copies on 8 1/2 x 11" or 8 1/2 x 14" stock.  An assortment of paper colors and textures is available.  Orders can be collated and stapled if desired.  Folding (8 1/2 x 11" to fit a #10 envelope) and bindery services (Velcro binding and spiral binding) are available at the Copy Center.  A "Pellissippi State Bookstore Invoice" form must accompany the work.  The amount of the purchase will be billed on a monthly basis.
