Bridge to RN Pathway - Summer

The Pellissippi State AASN Bridge Pathway consists of 12 months (three semesters) of nursing classes in addition to other general education course requirements. Bridge was developed to allow students who have already completed certifications as LPN (Licensed Practical Nurses) and Paramedics to use their prior experiences to complete the program in a shorter amount of time. It is designed to give the student the necessary skills and preparation for employment as a RN (Registered Nurse) after graduation. Graduates of the AASN program are eligible to apply for the National Council License Examination (NCLEX-RN) for licensure as a registered nurse.

The Summer Bridge Pathway will be conducted as a Hybrid Online/land based course.

Students will have the majority of their lecture content delivered through the online class format.

Students are still required to report to campus for some Lectures, Exams, Labs. Clinical hours will be conducted at area clinical facilities. Students will be required to attend at least 12-hour rotation per week.
