Quizzes
Create a quiz
- Click Quizzes in the navbar
- Click the New Quiz
icon in the toolbar
- Name the Quiz
- Create a grade item or assign an existing grade item
- Check the options to Allow automatic export and Allow to be marked as graded automatically if desired
- Click on the Restrictions tab and set the date and times of availability
- Click on the Attempts tab and set the number of attempts allowed
- Click Save
Reset a quiz attempt
- Click Quizzes in the navbar
- Click on the Grade Quiz icon
next to the Quiz name
- Click Display Options and check the option to Allow Reset (if it is not already enabled)
- Put a check in the box next to the student's attempt
- Click the small trashcan icon
at the top of the listing
- Click Save
Set special access for a quiz
- Click Quizzes in the navbar
- Click on the quiz name
- Click the Restrictions tab and scroll to the bottom
- Press the Add Special Access button
- Make access choices and settings for individuals or groups as needed
- Press Save
Quick edit quizzes
- Click Quizzes in the navbar
- Put a check next to the Quizzes you want to edit or use the boxes at the top and bottom of the listings to select all
- Click the Quick Edit icon

- Make changes to the quiz names, active status, attempt number, and category
- Click Save
Create a random set of questions
- Click Quizzes in the navbar
- Click on the Quiz name
- Click on the Layout/Questions tab (far right)
- Press the Add/Edit Questions button
- Choose Add a Random Section from the pull-down selection
- Press Go
- Name the section and Save
- Click on the purple folder you just created
- Click Import
- Select the questions you want to randomize and press Save
- Above the Question list, make sure to enter the number of questions you want to use in the random block and enter the point value for each question
- Click Save
Grading Quizzes
View student answers, grade long answers, and provide feedback
- Click Quizzes in the navbar
- Click on the Grade Quiz icon
next to the Quiz name
- Click on the attempt under the student's name
- Scroll down to view/grade answers and provide feedback for the student
Grade all students on one question
- Click Quizzes in the navbar
- Click on the Grade Quiz icon
next to the Quiz name
- Click on the Questions tab
- Click on the Question title
- Click on the Grade icon to the right of the question title
- Scroll down and make grading and/or feedback choices
- Click Save
Dropbox
Create a dropbox folder
- Click Dropbox link in the navbar
- Click New Folder icon
above the folder list
- Complete the form - create a Grade item if desired
- Set time/date restrictions and add to the Calendar tool (if desired) on the Restrictions tab
Download all files in a folder
- Click Dropbox link in the navbar, then select the folder name
- Click on the Files tab at the top
- Check the box above listings to select ALL
- Press the Download button

- Save the file where desired
- Unzip the file to access student files
Email students who have not submitted
- Click Dropbox link in the navbar
- Click on the name of the Dropbox folder
- Click the Email Unsubmitted Students
button at the top
Grade / Provide feedback
- Click Dropbox link in the navbar
- Click the name of the Dropbox folder
- Choose Show Without Feedback in the pull-down menu
- Click the Leave Feedback link to the right of the student's name
- Enter point grade, comments, and feedback
- Press Submit
