Impatica
Impatica transforms narrated PowerPoint presentations into streaming Java applets with the sound and animations. We have a site license for Impatica so you can install it on your office and home computers.

Respondus
Respondus is a third party solution for creating quizzes and tests. It will interface with Desire2Learn differently than WebCT but can still be a time saver. You can also use it to print test/quizzes for classroom use. There are many textbook publishers who provide Respondus-ready testbanks.

Respondus LockDown Browser
Respondus LockDown Browser is available for Macintosh and Windows computers. When students use Respondus LockDown Browser they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications. When an assessment is started, students are locked into it until they submit it for grading. Existing quizzes in D2L can be set to require the browser in the quiz settings area and new quizzes in Respondus can also be set to require the browser.

StudyMate
StudyMate, from Respondus, is a tool that creates Flash based activities for online presentation. You can use the same testbanks as you do for Respondus and also re-use Respondus files as well. There are several formats of StudyMate activities including Crossword, Flash Cards and Glossary.

Elluminate
Elluminate is a synchronous environment that provides text and audio chat, whiteboard, polling, presentation and application sharing among other tools. Sessions must be scheduled and are limited to 25 concurrent users. The schedule for Elluminate sessions is on the server homepage.
