What's New with 8.3?

Our course management system will be migrating from v.8.1.3 to version 8.3 over the weekend of May 10, 2008.

There are two major points to note:

First – This version has a more consistent user interface that should take less time to complete tasks and less training to master. Many of these changes were necessary to improve compliance with mandatory Americans with Disabilities Act standards and screen readers.

Second – This version incorporates many new features which allow for greater instructional effectiveness.

The interface changes basically consist of new icons and a restructuring of screen layouts to accommodate new features. Everything that you were used to is still there but the icons may look different or be in a different location.

Courses will function as they did prior to the upgrade date and no data from current or previous semesters will be removed.
