Accounts
Every Pellissippi State student has an account on the elearn.pstcc.edu system, however not every course you are enrolled in will use the online environment. Your account should be available 24 hours after your enrollment has been processed.
This account (both username and password) is used for accessing many other campus systems like WebMail and campus computers.
Usernames
You were automatically given an PSTCC email username when you registered for classes. This is also your username. If two or more students have the same combination of initials and last name, other letters are used to make a unique username.
Your PSTCC username will start with a lowercase "s" and an underscore (s_) followed by your first initial, your middle initial and your last name in all lowercase letters.
For example: Marvin S. Martian would be s_msmartian
If you do not know your username, you can look it up several ways:
METHOD 1: Look it up online
- Enter the PS...Web (online registration) server
- Enter the Student Services area using your SSN or Campuswide ID (CWID) and password
- Look under Personal Information and click on E-mail addresses
METHOD 2: Ask your advisor or other faculty member check for you using the email directory
METHOD 3: Visit the Open Lab on the third floor of the ERC on the Pellissippi campus and look yourself up there
Passwords
NEW STUDENTS have their password set to your six digit birthdate at the start of their first semester. It is EXPIRED and must be changed.
RETURNING STUDENTS may have their same password as the previous term. We strongly recommend you change your password at the start of every semester so it will not expire during the term and interfere with your progress.

Troubleshooting login problems:
- The first questions to ask yourself are
- Did I enter my username with all lowercase letters and no spaces?
- Did I change my password inside Web Mail first?"
- If logging in fails but you do not get any error messages, then the problem could be browser settings. Visit the Browser Check to ensure your browser is set up properly.
