I.Colleges
cannot change these TBR Mandated Calendar Dates for fall and spring
semesters:
(1)Fall
classes begin the last Monday of August.
(2)Fall
break is Monday and Tuesday of Week 8.
(3)Early
registration begins second Monday of November.
(4)Thanksgiving
holiday, Thursday through Sunday.
(5)Finals
end no later than Saturday of Week 16.
(6)Spring
classes begin on Monday preceding January 18th; if that day
is MLK day, classes begin Tuesday.
(7)The
spring break begins Monday of Week 8.
(8)Early
registration begins first Monday of April.
II.Calendar
issues that institutions may decide for fall and spring semesters:
(1)Ending
date of classes.
(2)Number
of exam days.
(3)Implementation
of a study day means TR classes must be 85 minutes long; no study day before
exams means TR classes can be 80 minutes long.
(4)Drop/add
dates.
(5)Good
Friday will never occur during spring break.TBR
will allow Presidents to request that classes meet on Good Friday, thus
using the Friday of spring break as a holiday.
III.For
summer term, schools may set the class times and dates.
