JOB DESCRIPTION:

The electronics technician conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. The position applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. The electronics technician provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing. This position is a full time position.

Job Description:

  • Adhere to all safety standards and practices.

  • Can use electrical and mechanical assembly hand tools, wire, label, document, and test components. Tools in use would include screw drivers, drills, cutters, crimpers, saws, box cutters, and more.
  • Install, repair and service electrical components of industrial electrical panels, transformers, equipment and wiring with 110/240/480 systems
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and electronic systems of company equipment.
  • Manufacture control panels to project specification under direction of Shop Foreman and Engineering.
  • Read and comprehend electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Document and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings, “red line”, to reflect “as Built” products.
  • Follow and maintain UL508A standards, NEC code, and other applicable standards and codes.
  • Follow and understand quality control procedures.
  • Communicate with foreman and/or engineering the status of work and any quality or design issues.
  • Other functions as needed/ assigned.
  • Maintain upkeep of shop area
  • Must be willing to travel

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:                                                

  • Minimum of 3 years of Industrial Maintenance (Mechanical/Electrical) experience or technical education equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated ability troubleshooting, modifying, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on automated industrial equipment.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional experience / skills: PLC, HMI, Ladder Logic, Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic systems
  • Experience with advanced PLC programming, electronic circuit troubleshooting, PC hardware and software repair.

Help Desk Support Specialist

The HCSBU Marathon Petroleum Company (MPC) Service Desk in Oak Ridge, Tennessee is currently seeking dedicated and reliable candidates for the position of Help Desk Support Specialist, to provide first-line technical support to users in a corporate environment in the areas of account administration, server and network status, operating systems, local and remote network connectivity, and a wide variety of proprietary and off-the-shelf computer applications. Job Title:  Zoo Camp Instructor – Seasonal

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn and implement a pre-written curriculum for each week of camp you are scheduled to teach. This includes testing and practicing the activities beforehand, preparing materials and supplies, and leading the activities. Instructors are also responsible for leading provided “down time” or “rainy day” activities. Instructors are welcome to use their own games and activities if they are approved beforehand.
  • With the assistance of the Family Education Coordinator, prepare for day camps which occur Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 3:00pm for ages 4-13, with occasional 3-day camps.  Summer camp groups are divided by age into 4-5 year olds, 6-7 year olds, 8-10 year olds and 11-13 year olds.  Spring and fall break camps are a single group ages 6-10 years.   
  • Provide all instruction and camper supervision for the week, with the assistance of the co-instructor and adult and youth volunteers in a way that creates a fun, positive and safe learning environment. 
  • Arrive by 8:00am each day and stay until clean-up and the next day’s preparations are complete.  Typically the day ends by 4:30pm.
  • Attend all staff training days and staff orientation. Training days include working 1 day of Spring Break camp and full-day trainings May 9th and 16th.
  • Supervise youth and adult volunteers that are assisting with the camp, creating a positive volunteer experience while meeting the needs of the camp. 
  • Present camp programs including interpreting science and conservation concepts in an immersive, engaging, knowledgeable and inspiring way.
  • Maintain all equipment and facilities to keep them clean, safe and professional in appearance.
  • Work closely with Family Education Coordinator to communicate with parents about the camp schedule, camper needs, concerns and discipline.
  • Other duties as assigned.
