"Brown Bag Wednesdays" Sessions
Quick Engagement Practice (QEP) sessions are continuing faculty development programs with a variety of topics that are of interest to the Pellissippi faculty. The sessions will be held from 12:15 – 12:45 p.m. and repeated at 12:55 – 1:25 p.m. and will be located in our QEP Room ERC 329. We hope that these sessions will pique interest in areas that will be addressed in subsequent sessions led by other Pellissippi faculty groups.
Each Wednesday of the month will have a particular focus:
- The first Wednesday of each month will be "QEP with Technology" hosted by Brandon Ballentine. Brandon is planning to share a few free tech tools that will help increase engagement and encourage participation.
- The second Wednesday of the month will focus on "QEP and Teaching Techniques" led by Ron Bridges. He will host faculty who will share strategies that have been successful in their classrooms.
- New faculty issues and concerns will be the focus of the third Wednesday sessions. These will be led by Nancy Pevey, with guests who will address policies and procedures both in and out of the Pellissippi classroom.
- The fourth Wednesday in the series will be "On the Road to the Site Campuses" with visits to the Division Street Campus in January, Strawberry Plains Campus in February, Magnolia Avenue Campus in March and Blount County Campus in April.
