FAQ

  1. I left my lights on and my car won't start. What can I do?

A) Call Safety and Security at 694-6649. We have a booster box and will jump your vehicle at no cost. At the branch campus locations, contact the front office. A signed waiver is required.

  1. I locked my keys in my car. What can I do?

A) Call Safety and Security at 694-6649. We have an unlock kit and can open most vehicles. At the branch campus locations, contact the front office. There is no charge for this service. A signed waiver is required.

  1. I have a low tire. What can I do?

A) Call Safety and Security at 694-6649. We have a small air pump and can inflate your tire. (Does not work on completely flat tires.) A signed waiver is required. There is no charge for this service.

  1. I have a late class and do not feel safe going to the parking lot. What can I do?

A) Call Safety and Security from the classroom at 6649. At the branch campus locations, call the front office. An officer will be dispatched to your location and escort you.

  1. Someone is bothering me/making unwanted advances/following me. What can I do?

A) Call Safety and Security at 694-6649. At the branch campus locations, contact the front office. We will report the complaint and follow up to stop the inappropriate actions from continuing.

  1. My wallet, purse, or other items containing personal information has been stolen. What should I do?

A) If you determine your personal belongings have been stolen on campus, file a theft report immediately with Security.

  1. I received a ticket. What can I do?

A) You can appeal the citation online at our http://pstcc.edu/security/appeal.html; just fill out the form and click submit. You have only 14 days from the day the citation was written to pay or appeal before a late fee of $5.00 is added.

  1. I received a parking ticket; and the 14-day grace period has lapsed. Can I still appeal?

A) Unfortunately, no. You have 14 days from the date the citation is issued to either appeal or pay. After the 14 days, you must pay.

  1. Where is Lost and Found?

A) Goins Building, Room 149. You can retrieve lost items from 8:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Closed Saturday/Sunday/Holidays. At the branch campus locations, go to the front office.

  1. If I am sick or injured on campus, what do I do?

A) Call or have someone call 694-6649 (campus emergency). We will respond to your location with assistance. The Technical Clerk and Security Supervisor are state-certified 1st responders. All officers have Red Cross First Aid training. At the branch campus locations, contact the front office. An officer will be dispatched.

  1. I have a Safety/Security concern but do not feel comfortable identifying myself. What can I do?

A) Go to our web page link at http://pstcc.edu/security/tips.html. Click on "Silent Witness". An 'Anonymous Tip' form will then appear. You do not have to identify yourself on the form.

  1. I have a vehicle accident on campus. Do I call campus security or the police?

A) Always call campus security at 694-6649. For a minor incident, we can fill out all the reports. If the damage is over $500.00, the local law enforcement agency must be called. If there are injuries, the local law enforcement agency must be called. At the branch campus locations, contact the front office.
