Student Recreation Center

 

The SRC will begin offering limited outdoor use of our fields, courts and outdoor space starting on February 8th.

SRC Hours:

  • Monday 10-4
  • Tuesday 10-4
  • Wednesday 10-4

Available Activities and Equipment Available for use:

  • Outdoor tennis/pickleball
  • Outdoor basketball shooting – 1 person per goal.
  • Outdoor soccer passing/shooting no more than 2 players per half field
  • Golf practice greens open for individual use no more than 2 per green at a time.
  • Ping pong table placed outside on patio for dual use.
  • Limited exercise equipment will be available to check out and be used outside the SRC upon request.

Safety Protocols:

  • Users must complete the COVID screening process
  • Masks required for dual use activities
  • Maintain 6 ft. of social distance
  • Equipment will be disinfected after use
  • Building remains closed
  • Students will call/text the SRC staff upon arrival to request equipment needs when they get to the SRC.

The SRC offers students, faculty and staff one of the best sport, recreation, and fitness facilities in the area. The 24,000-square-foot arena has three tennis courts, a basketball court and volleyball courts. Our facility also includes a 2,000-square-foot weight room with cardiovascular machines, weight machines and a free weight machine area. The outdoor area features a sand volleyball court, softball field, soccer field, four tennis courts, basketball court and two artificial turf putting greens measuring 5,000 square feet. The new racquetball courts and dance studio has added another 12,000 square feet.

Participation at the Student Recreation Center is voluntary and individuals use our facilities at their own risk. Participation in any physical activity involves inherent risk, and even when safety precautions are utilized, injuries and accidents can occur. The Student Recreation Center would like to encourage each individual to consult their physician and obtain adequate personal health/accident insurance prior to participation in our programs. Pellissippi State does not provide personal health or medical insurance for participants.

Additionally, individuals who use the Student Recreation Center are subject to all Pellissippi State and TBR rules/and or policies as well as federal, state and local laws. Further, they must adhere to any conditions of facility usage as outlined in the Student Recreation Center rules and regulations.
