Using the HTML Editor

How to Find the HTML Editor

When you are logged in as instructor, select the tab Course Content.  In the drop down menu, select Course Content and New.

Select Create A File.

This will show the various tabs for the tools to create with the HTML Editor within D2L.

The same tools used for creating accessible documents will apply: Headings, Lists, Images, Links, Tables and Videos

Creating Accessible Equations

Locate the Sigma Drop Down item in the tool bar.

Select Graphical Equation and use the tools to create equations.  This will allow the code required for reading math equations to automatically be written.

If you have used MathType to create equations in Word, those equations can be copied and pasted into the HTML Editor, using the Insert button.

Please note that the Equation Editor is not available for students in D2L. Because of this, there is no way for students to show their work on a D2L assessment. If you require students to show their work, consider another alternative solution.
