How to Meet WCAG 2.0 Standards      Is WCAG 2.0 too complicated?

When considering adopting new textbooks for courses, there are questions to ask the representative of the publisher:

  1. Is an accessible EPub3 version of the book available for purchase?
  2. Will an alternative accessible tagged and open PDF or alternative accessible xml/html eBook be available at the time of adoption if an accessible EPub3 version is not available?

The following resources are available for guiding the process:

AMAC: Accessibility Solutions and Research Center (Georgia Tech)

Search the AMAC Textbook Library

Ordering Accessible Materials from AMAC

Orders for accessible formats from AMAC can be done by adopters within individual departments (texbooks, files).

AMAC can also be contracted with by content creators and publishers in order to obtain accessible formats.

Access Text Network (ATN)

The available titles can be searched without a log in name or password.  Disability Services uses this to request books for students.  Certain publishers are members and can be found in the database as well.
