The Student Life and Recreation Office keeps you involved and informed about College activities, events and deadlines through Student and Employee Photo IDs, Panther Pause and the bulletin boards on all five Pellissippi State campuses.

Panther Pause is a bi-weekly newsletter that is printed and distributed every other Friday throughout the school year. The newsletter is placed on bulletin boards and in restrooms around each campus. Any Pellissippi State office, department, club or organization may submit articles to

The Student Life and Recreation Office also offers other ways for offices, departments, clubs or organizations or individuals to make announcements: bulletin boards, metal strips and table tents. All materials posted on these boards, strips or set up on tables MUST be approved and stamped by the Student Life and Recreation Office or the Main Office of any site campus.

Off-campus businesses are not allowed to advertise or post materials on the bulletin boards. Boards and metal strips are cleared off weekly. Any poster or material without a stamp of approval from Student Life will be removed and discarded.

  • Bulletin boards are open to on-campus announcements. Student Life date stamps posters and flyers for a two-week period, and no material can be posted earlier than two weeks before an event.
  • Metal strips in buildings on each campus are reserved for non-campus events or for student or community advertisements.
  • Table tent announcements must be approved by the Student Life and Recreation Office in advance, via email. Only one tent may be placed on the tables at any time, and only two College events may be advertised during any given week. Table tents cannot be set out more than one week in advance of an event. Table tents are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
