The Kaplan Admission Test is used by the Nursing Department as part of its application process for entry into the Pre-Nursing program. The test is three hours long, although students who finish early may submit the test and leave before the three hours are up.
To register for the Kaplan, call the Testing Center office at 865-694-6454. You will need to provide your student ID number (P number).
Walk-in testing is now available. Make sure to arrive with a full three hours to test before the Testing Center closes. The Testing Center will not allow you to start the Kaplan if you do not have three hours available, even if you do not think you will need the full three hours. Registering ahead of time will expedite the test-taking process.
Please familiarize yourself with the Testing Center Policies before you arrive to take the Kaplan. You will need to bring a valid photo ID with you to the Testing Center. Calculators are not allowed, but a calculator will be available for you to use on the screen as part of the test. Scratch paper and pencils are provided by the Testing Center. No cell phones, personal items or children will be permitted.
Once you have finished and submitted the Kaplan, your results are automatically sent to the Nursing Department. Students are allowed to take the Kaplan once per application period.
