TRiO Student Support Services, a program funded by the US Department of Education, offers one-on-one tutoring, academic planning, financial literacy, career counseling and other services to students who are first-generation, low-income or who have a disability — all to help students complete their college career and graduate.
You may qualify to participate if neither of your parents have a bachelor’s degree, if your family income is less than 150% of the federal poverty level or if you are registered with Disability Services. You must also be a degree-seeking, full-time student with an identified academic need.
Students can apply to participate in TRiO by visiting our office on the second floor of the Educational Resources Center on the Hardin Valley Campus or through the TRiO Support Services Application.
If you would like to serve as a peer tutor for TRiO, or if you would like to recommend a tutor to TRiO, please complete the Tutor Application or the Tutor Recommendation Form in myPellissippi.
