To be a member of TRiO, you must be:
A first-generation college student, OR
A low-income college student, OR
A college student with a disability.
You must have an identified need for academic support.
First generation means neither parent graduated from a four-year college.
Low income means that the family income is less than 150% of the federal poverty level (Set every year).
A student with a disability is a student listed with the Office for Students with Disabilities.
Identified need for academic support includes (but is not limited to):
Low high school GPA,
Low admission test scores (placed in developmental courses),
Low college GPA,
Out of school for five years or more,
Need to raise grades.

The TRiO Student Support Services program is free to qualifying students (documentation of eligibility is required). For more information, or to apply, come to the TRiO office, located in the Educational Resources Center (ERC), room 218.
