Authoring Templates

Eight templates for Pellissippi State Web page creation are linked below. In each instance a brief description for their usage is included with instructions for updating or converting existing material. These pages comply with the forth coming style guide (currently under review) and take advantage of a wide variety of styles and options. Different templates may be used in conjunction with others to create dynamic sites with easy to read content.

How to Use These Templates

Each template page lists the files necessary to complete the template. "Click-on" the appropriate file name with the right mouse button and select "Save Link as." Choose the directory on your hard drive that you save your HTML documents in and save the template files there. Keep all images and files in the same directory (subdivide information in different directories for major content divisions). Follow the instructions listed in each page and within the HTML document itself.

You may use these templates in support of each other to create exciting, dynamic sites that are easy to read and load quickly. Below is an example of a department using multiple templates to create a Web site. Please contact the Webmaster with any questions, problems or conversion needs. In all instances these files are flexible and may be customized by the Webmaster to meet your individual requirements.
