Audiobooks Provides Digital Alternative

Imagine taking multiple books on a long car or airplane trip, without the extra bulk; or taking in a few foreign language lessons while you clean your home; or finally finishing that engrossing novel on your next jog. Audiobooks makes this, and more, possible by providing a digital alternative to hard-copy books.

Pellissippi students, faculty, and staff can now checkout and download over 1,300 available Audiobooks titles. Audiobooks can be played on your computer or transferred to a portable listening device.

NetLibrary 4.0

NetLibrary is updating its Web interface and providing improved search and display functions. On Monday, July 31 NetLibrary will introduce a "New Web interface" that "combines sleek design and enhanced search performance".

Key features include a sleek new look and feel, automatic summarization to find materials needed quickly, and spell checking wich recognizes commonly misspelled words offering alternative spelling. The new interface will enable searching within search results, provide extensive "Search History" features to review previous searching.

Take a look again at Pellissippi Library's NetLibrary ebook and eAudio book collection consisting of over 50,000 ebooks and over 1,000 eAudio books. The new interface will improve searching and viewing of e-content, providing extensive research and reference resources.
