The Facilities Department operates and maintains the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for all campuses. We strive to maintain building and room temperatures between 69-72 degrees, and indoor humidity levels between 30%-60%. This is in accordance with the ASHRAE standard 62-1999 as adopted by the Federal Government.

For an explanation of how our central plant heating and air conditioning system operates, please refer to the link HVAC 101. Please do not attempt to adjust thermostats yourself. These are not like your home units and act primarily as sensors rather than controls. Most room temperature issues are a result of other equipment problems.
