Campus police and security officers are here to protect and serve the campus community.
Campus police or security officers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the Hardin Valley Campus, and answer the emergency calls to 865.694.6649 at any hour.
In addition to safety at the college, campus police and security officers offer other services to students, visitors and employees:
Beginning June 1, 2020, all persons who wish to enter a building on any Pellissippi State campus will need to document their visit and respond to COVID-19 screening questions prior to entering the building. This must be done each day that a person comes to campus.
Pellissippi State takes pride in our efforts to keep our campuses safe. To see a full record of safety on our campuses, read our Annual Security Report. You may also read our Daily Crime Log to see crimes reported in the past 60 days.
Help us keep our campuses safe: if you see something, say something.
Students do not require parking permits. Students can park in any lot designated with an “O” for “Open Space,” and parking is free. Employees can park in any lot designated with an “F” for “Faculty and Staff." Permits for employees may be obtained through the Employee Parking Permit Request form in myPellissippi.
The speed limit on campus is 15 mph unless otherwise posted, and pedestrians always have the right of way. Read our Traffic and Parking Regulations for more details.
If you receive a traffic citation or parking ticket and wish to appeal it, you may fill out the Ticket Appeal Form within 14 days of receiving the ticket.
Beginning July 1, 2019, the new Tennessee Hands Free Law (PC0412) will go into effect.
