The steps to register for classes are the same for all students — except students who are not enrolled in a degree program at Pellissippi State, like students who are just taking a class. Students who are just taking a class at Pellissippi State have different advising requirements.
If you are a degree-seeking student, you must meet with an advisor. If you are a non-degree, transient, or certificate student, you may register without seeing an advisor.
Some students may need a course override to register for a class. If you do, call Enrollment Services at 865-694-6400.
Some students may see holds on their accounts in myPellissippi. Sometimes holds can keep you from registering for classes, so you’ll need to satisfy the requirement of the hold first. If you have questions, call Enrollment Services at 865-694-6400.
Once all of previous steps are completed — including registering for classes — all students must confirm their schedule and pay tuition and fees. After any financial aid awards you receive appear on the confirmation screen in myPellissippi, you must confirm your schedule and pay any remaining tuition and fees. If your financial aid covers the cost of tuition and fees, you still must confirm your schedule. Students who do not confirm their schedules run the risk of having their schedules deleted.
If you were selected for FAFSA verification and are not able to complete verification by the Schedule Confirmation and Fee Deadline, you will need to set up a payment arrangement with the Cashier or risk being dropped from class.
