Civic Engagement and Volunteerism
We offer a wide variety of ways for you to make a difference in the community.
Are you looking for an opportunity because you were assigned service from a professor? You want Service-Learning!

Are you looking for opportunities to volunteer as a way to fulfill community service requirements for Tennessee Promise, National Society for Leadership and Success, another scholarship, or just as a way to give back to the community? Then click here for more information about volunteerism!
Club Sports
Club sports are one of the many opportunities our students have to be engaged with their peers and stay well. Like our other student clubs and organizations, club sport offerings can change dependent upon student interest and available advisors, so checking in with our staff in Student Engagement and Leadership is always a good place to start your search for involvement in these opportunities. Our current club sports include:
- Bass fishing
- Cycling
- Disc Golf
- Distance running
- Soccer
Generally, club sports are co-educational. Where there are competition opportunities that limit participation based on sex, the college must limit participation within those competitions for women, females, or girls to only include those who have been assigned female at birth. Individuals who have been assigned male at birth would not be eligible to compete in those female events pursuant to T.C.A. § 49-7-180. Relevant policy updates, as necessitated by this state law, are underway.
