Welcome to Pellissippi State!

Welcome – or welcome back – to Pellissippi State! We’re glad you’re here.

Whether you’re a new or returning student, we want you to be successful in your educational journey. We’ve created this Welcome webpage for a quick overview of what you need to know to get started this semester.

 ACADEMIC CALENDAR 

  • Aug. 16: Classes begin 

  • Aug. 18: Last day to add classes or to change to or from audit 

  • Aug. 23: Deadline to pay fees and confirm your schedule if you registered after Aug. 9 

  • Aug. 29: Last day to drop a class without a grade of “W” 

  • Sept. 2: Saturday classes meet 

  • Sept. 4: College closed for Labor Day 

  • Oct. 7: Saturday classes will meet 

  • Oct. 9-13: Fall break, no classes, College remains open 

  • Oct. 18: Registration for spring 2024 begins 

  • Oct. 27: Last day to drop a class with a grade of “W”

  • Nov. 18: Deadline to apply for fall 2023 graduation 

  • Nov. 22: Classes do not meet 

  • Nov. 23-26: College closed for Thanksgiving 

  • Dec. 2: Last day of classes 

  • Dec. 4-7: Final exams

Multicultural Center

The Stay Strong Multicultural Center, located in the Educational Resources Center (ERC), room 209 on the Hardin Valley Campus, provides a welcoming, supportive space for African American students as they transition into or continue their education at Pellissippi State. Service to traditionally underrepresented, underserved students centers the work of the Multicultural Center. Success coaches work closely with students to support academic planning, study skills and campus engagement. This support is also available for nontraditional students. Students do not require parking permits. Students can park in any lot designated with an O for Open, and parking is free. Click here for campus maps.

Student IDs

Students may come to any campus during regular hours of operation, without an appointment, to have their picture taken and student ID card made. Bring identification such as a driver’s license to:

  • Hardin Valley Campus (Two Locations) – Open Computer Lab (ERC 327) Or Information Technology Desk (GN240)       
  • Site campuses – Campus Library

Students who are unable to visit one of our campuses in person may use a driver’s license for proctored tests. The College will no longer be sending ID cards through the mail.

Student Recreation Center (the Bubble)

The Bubble on the Hardin Valley Campus is open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Fridays. The Bubble is very well ventilated, and equipment has been spread out to allow for more distance between users.
