Counseling Services helps students manage obstacles that threaten their academic, career and life goals. The Counseling Services office is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. If you need to speak with a counselor (non-emergency), contact email@example.com or call 865-694-6480.
The Start Strong Center is here to help you find the financial assistance you need to attend college. We have information on grants, scholarships, work study programs and, if needed, loans. We help you meet deadlines and resolve any financial issues you might encounter while you’re in college.
STUDENT CARE AND ADVOCACY
Student Care and Advocacy is Pellissippi State’s central contact to help students who have nonacademic issues arise while they’re on their educational journeys. We believe in promoting students’ overall well-being and focus on issues around economic stability, housing, transportation, food access and health care.
STUDENT TRANSITIONS AND PERSISTENCE
The newly formed Student Transitions and Persistence office is comprised of New Student Orientation and the PERSiST academic coaching program. We help students navigate the many transitions and challenges they may encounter during their college experience. Our devoted team offers support to ease students’ onboarding process, normalize help-seeking behavior and foster a sense of belonging. Closing equity gaps through service to marginalized or minoritized groups is also at the heart of our office’s work. For more information, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Testing Center provides in-house and standardized testing (CLEP, DSST, Certiport, HESI, HiSET, etc.) for Pellissippi State students and the community as needed. Hours vary by campus. We do not offer exams during the last 30 minutes of operation each day.
For Pellissippi State course exams, instructors send a Test Authorization form to the Testing Center with all required information. For standardized exams or correspondence exams, examinees must make a test appointment at www.Registerblast.com/pstcc and pay the proctor fee.
